2 Canadians Charged with Handing out Marijuana Edibles Last Halloween

Almost one year after parents in Delta, British Columbia found marijuana edibles in their kids’ Halloween bags, two people have been charged with the crime.

The two suspects, whose identities have not been revealed, were taken into custody after authorities discovered an illegal cannabis extraction lab where thousands of edibles were stored, says Inspector Guy Leeson. The suspects have each been charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of distribution, and one count of altering cannabis by use of an organic solvent, charging documents reveal.

There were no reports of children ingesting the edibles handed out last year, police say.

Why would people want to hurt children they don’t even know? What’s the weirdest thing you’ve received on Halloween?
