Gas Climbs to $6 per Gallon in Los Angeles

It’s been three weeks since the reopening of the Colonial Pipeline was supposed to result in lower gas prices across the U.S. — and yet the price at the pump is still significantly higher than expected.

In fact, at least one gas station in Los Angeles was charging $6 a gallon over Memorial Day weekend, according to local sources. Other stations in the area were charging between $5.29 and $5.99 for a gallon of regular unleaded.

However, according to GasBuddy.com, the higher prices weren’t the norm in L.A. over the weekend. The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded in Los Angeles county is $4.22 a gallon — if you can find it.

What’s the most you’ve paid for a gallon of gas?
