Who knew British actor John Cleese was such a big fan of the Utah Jazz?
The ‘Monty Python’ star has scored tickets to Wednesday’s game against the Phoenix Suns after posting a plea on Twitter. “My beloved Utah Jazz are playing the Suns on Wednesday in Phoenix,” Cleese wrote. “Can anyone help me and my daughter Camilla to get to go to watch the game?” He goes on to say he’s “supported them for 20 years and never yet seen them live.”

Jazz owner Ryan Smith responded, writing, “We got you, man.” The comp sparked a flurry of negative comments from people who wondered why a big star like Cleese couldn’t pay for his tickets like everyone else.
Now Cleese has apologized, saying he “made a mistake.” He explains, “I assumed that the limited capacity and the two best teams playing, all the tickets would have long gone. Not so! So I BOUGHT two tickets. Sorry.”
