Pennsylvania Teen Builds 925-foot Model Train

A Pennsylvania teen has used his downtime during the coronavirus pandemic to take up a new hobby — and some might say he got a little carried away with it.

Wrightsville resident Nathan Heffner, 17, decided to put together a model train set. So far it includes 925 feet of track and stands more than 10 feet tall in some sections, according to local media reports.

While Heffner’s train set may be impressive, it’s nowhere near as big as the world record holder. That train set, built by a man in Hamburg, Germany, is made up of eight miles of track and features more than 4,000 miniature buildings, according to the Business Insider.
