With so many places offering pick-up service for food, should you tip when you made most of the effort to get your order? Food And Wine asked that question to the etiquette experts at the Emily Post Institute. They say there is “no obligation” to tip for take-out. The institute does suggest you tip 10 percent for service above and beyond handing you the bag. Those examples include curbside pick-up when you don’t have to leave your car and “large, complicated orders.”
Consider this before you pick up your order tonight. https://t.co/VIikFwYmjc

What about places that just take your order but you bus your own table? I can think of a few burger places I’ve been to where they just take your order and maybe drop off your food (they usually just call your name) and then you end up cleaning up your own table. Am I the only one that is confused about where tipping comes in here? I can’t be.
