A widely-circulated video that shows presidential candidate Joe Biden doze off during a televised interview may be funny, but it’s not real.
The clip, which was reportedly posted to Twitter earlier this week by a member of the Trump campaign, was taken down hours later after Twitter technicians determined it had been manipulated. By that time, however, the video had already been re-posted on several other sites.

It turns out the video was made by combining a 2011 interview with singer Harry Belafonte, who actually did fall asleep during the Q-and-A, and an April interview with Biden, who stayed awake through its entirety.
