A woman running for governor of Rhode Island – and her partner, who is running for Attorney General – were just caught with 48 pounds of marijuana. Anne Armstrong and Alan Gordon are candidates for the Compassion Party. Unfortunately, police didn’t show much compassion when they found the illegal pot at their West Greenwich home. After the arrest, Armstrong tweeted “I guess our poll numbers were high enough to scare them into committing an atrocity.”

Do you think there’s a political conspiracy behind this arrest? Had you ever heard of the Compassion Party before now?
