Chris Martin Says He Was Accused of Stealing While Working at a Supermarket

All rock stars get their start somewhere and for Coldplay’s Chris Martin, that was working in a grocery store.

In a BBC Radio 2 interview, Martin says that his manager at the store accused him of stealing.

“Only my manager would remember me from then, he accused me of stealing on my first day,” said Martin.

Martin explains further, saying, “He said the till was £30 down and not to let it happen again – and I didn’t gosh darn it. I didn’t steal it –
I’d like to go on record.”

Have you ever been accused of something you didn’t do? If so, how did you react?
