A New Star Wars Rumor Donald Glover returning for Lando Calrissian

A new “Star Wars” rumor suggests Donald Glover will return as Lando Calrissian in a new Disney Plus series. “Star Wars” news and rumors website Kessel Run Transmissions reported Wednesday that Glover will likely return as Calrissian in a new Disney Plus series. It’s unclear if he signed on for the role or if he’s still in negotiations. Reports suggest this might be connected to a “Crimson Dawn Crime Syndicate” spinoff series, which would connect to the “Solo: A Star Wars Story” film.

Edger Right to Produce & Direct Stage 13

EXCLUSIVE: Amblin Partners has closed a deal with Edgar Wright to develop, direct and executive produce Stage 13, with Saturday Night Live alum Simon Rich writing the script and also producing. Producing along with Rich is Wright’s producing partner Nira Park, who co-founded Complete Fiction with Wright and has produced his projects from early in his film and television career including Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, The World’s End and Baby Driver. Working Title co-chairman Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner, who have had a working relationship with Wright since 2004’s Shaun of the Dead, will also produce.

Jude Law playing Captain Hook

Jude Law may be heading to Neverland. The actor is in talks to play the classic Disney villain, Captain Hook, in the studio’s live-action Peter Pan film “Peter Pan & Wendy,” sources tell Variety. “Pete’s Dragon” director David Lowery is on board to direct the project. Lowery co-wrote the script with Toby Halbrooks, and Jim Whitaker is producing.

Devil May Care

TZGZ is going two-for-two with with its first internally developed animated pilots ordered in January, the 15-minute Wild Life and Devil May Care. Syfy has given a seven-episode series pickup to Devil May Care, starring Alan Tudyk (SyFy’s Resident Alien) and Asif Ali (BoJack Horseman). It follows the six-episode series order for Wild Life in April. The newly greenlighted 15-minute TZGZ pilots are The Chronicles of Frank, From ShadowMachine (Final Space, BoJack Horseman), The Black Hole from Starburns Industries (Rick and Morty, Moral Orel), and The Pole, from Yeti Farm Creative (Hotel Transylvania Season 2, Pete the Cat Season 2),
