We’ve had natural disasters, we have poverty, we have political unrest, we have gang violence, and all of that sucked the oxygen out of the beautiful things we have in Haiti, and to me, the cuisine is one of the most beautiful things.” Donald Trumps words have directly affected the flow of his business. Trump said, “They’re eating the dogs, the people that came in. They’re eating the cats. They’re eating pets of the people that live there.” Roody has claimed customers have come in asking for cat, and dog. He parks his food truck at Rosepark every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. He has lost roughly 60% of his income over the last weekend since the debate took place.

A Park City High School teacher is on leave after making inappropriate comments about sexual assault, and accountability. A child who attended the meeting went hold and told their parents that “if you are sexually assaulted, it’s your fault.” Park City High School Principal Roger Arbabi and Athletic Director Jamie Sheetz sent a joint email to parents and students yesterday stating, “The investigation into [the coach’s] comments is ongoing, and his leave will continue at this time,” the email states, adding that a former coach “will be assuming the interim head coach position for the duration of the investigation and unfortunately we do not know how long this will be. The parent said, “I’m pretty upset because I thought they should have called parents.”

Neil Parrott is a Republican candidate for Maryland’s 6th Congressional District. When he was a lawmaker in 2022, he was recorded saying, “You just pat them in the wrong way, they take it sexually inappropriately. That’s marriage.” He is opposing a law that states marriage isn’t a sufficient defense against sexual assault. Parrott also claimed, “In common law, in Maryland, it’s already against the law to rape your wife, that’s no question about that, it’s against the law. But we’re talking like fourth-degree offense. I mean, you just pat them in the wrong way, they take it sexually inappropriately. That’s marriage. Those things are protected in marriage, and this law gets rid of that. This is ridiculous, and that’s why I’m voting no, and I encourage the body to vote no.”
