A Wisconsin couple allowed their 9-year-old daughter to drive them and their 11-month-old baby because they were too drunk to do so themselves, according to Polk County Circuit Court records. Jason Roth, 36, and Amanda Eggert, 32, pleaded not guilty at the court on Friday to charges of recklessly endangering safety and neglecting a child, according to the online records. On Jan. 31, a sheriff’s deputy responded to a call about an erratic driver and found the couple and their children parked at a boat drop in Polk County, about 75 miles northeast of Minneapolis, according to a criminal complaint. The deputy arrested the couple when he learned that their 9-year-old daughter was driving them and their baby home in their pickup truck because they were both intoxicated, according to the complaint from the county prosecutor’s office. Eggert also faces several charges stemming from a fight she had with paramedics who arrived to help her with a cut on her hand suffered when she was snowmobiling earlier in the day, court records showed.

In an appearance on Greta Van Susteren’s “On the Record” Monday, Donald Trump’s second son backed up his father’s proposal to ramp back up the United States’ practice of torture in the so-called War on Terror. “If I have it to do and if it’s up to me, I would absolutely bring back waterboarding,” the Republican frontrunner said on “This Week with George Stephanopouloson” Sunday. “And if it’s going to be tougher than waterboarding, I would bring that back, too.” (Elsewhere: “Waterboarding is peanuts.”) Van Susteren asked Eric to clarify his father’s comments on Monday. “You see these terrorists that are flying planes into buildings, right?” he replied. “You see our cities getting shot up in California. You see Paris getting shot up. And then somebody complains when a terrorist gets waterboarded, which quite frankly is no different than what happens on college campuses and frat houses every day.”

Yes, Ted Nugent is a jerk. But even for him, this is awful. Nugent posted the picture above on his Facebook page with this comment: Know these punks. They hate freedom, they hate good over evil, they would deny us the basic human right to self defense & to KEEP & BEAR ARMS while many of them have tax paid hired ARMED security! Know them well. Tell every1 you know how evil they are. Let us raise maximum hell to shut them down! And look at the little Israeli flag icon on each one, clearly suggesting that their religion has something to do with their support for gun safety laws. Right Wing Watch notes that it isn’t the first time Nugent has gone toward anti-Semitism in his remarks, but in the past they were aimed at President Obama, not specific Jewish lawmakers and activists.
