Corey Hawkins Joins ‘The Walking Dead’ in First Season 6 Photo
The first photo from season six of “The Walking Dead” is here, and with it, the first look at a new addition to the cast.
The Hollywood Reporter premiered the image of new character Heath, played by actor Corey Hawkins (“Straight Outta Compton”), a prominent figure from the “Walking Dead” comics. Heath is an Alexandria resident, and from the looks of the photo, he’s ready to take aim at any threats facing the community. (THR’s story has a few more spoiler-y bits about the character from the comics, if you’re curious.)
Jonny Quest film back in development with an intriguing name as director
Jonny Quest and his gang of adventurers are finally coming out of retirement, with a very intriguing hand at the wheel of this long-awaited reboot.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. has signed Robert Rodriguez (Planet Terror, The Faculty) to direct a live-action version of Jonny Quest. The film will be based on the cult-hit 1964 Hanna-Barbera ABC cartoon of the same name, which followed a boy (Jonny), his father and a team of adventurers as they went on globe-trotting missions that featured everything from robots to mummies.
Disney not moving forward with ‘Tron 3’
“Tron 3” won’t be coming to a theater near you.
Disney has chosen not to move forward with a third installment in the sci-fi series, sources say. While sources say the project was never officially approved, earlier this year it seemed as if things were moving ahead with “Tron:Legacy” director Joseph Kosinski returning and stars Olivia Wilde and Garrett Hedlund reprising their roles.

Now it looks like James Wan, who just had a huge success with Furious 7, is in line to be the Aquaman director, at least if Warner Bros. gets its wish.
Ferris Bueller took his day off exactly 30 years ago today
The Internet exists for exactly this reason: In a four-year old post for Baseball Prospectus, Larry Granillo looked closely to determine exactly what Cubs game Ferris Bueller and his friends attended in the 1986 classic Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
And based on what little information about the game we get from the movie — mostly the scene where Ed Rooney watches a portion of the broadcast inside a pizza place — Granillo determined that the game that provided the setting happened on June 5, 1985, exactly 30 years ago Friday. This is the 30th anniversary of Ferris Bueller’s day off.
