Christmas Nostalgia

I get nostalgic during Christmastime. I think it’s because you get to stack up your entire childhood memories into one big happy recollection of Christmas. Let’s face it, Christmas when you were a kid was the best and nothing can even come close to it. Who remembers the initial excitement when, in November, you’d receive the Sear’s Christmas catalog or the Spiegel Christmas catalog? I used to peruse those for hours making notes and finalizing my wish list for Santa. I was feeling particularly nostalgic this morning, so I started Googling for old Christmas catalogs. I hit the jackpot with a site called Wishbookweb.com. They have a great compilation of scans of Christmas catalogs that date back from the eighties all the way into the thirties.

You can relive your youth when you see some of the old stuff that used to be for sale. The early ads for the 80’s computers are great!
