Listener’s Poll: The Top 10 Songs of 2015

A couple months ago we started asking what you thought to the top 10 songs of 2015 and you answered.

Ahhhh, yes. Another list. Another top 10 list even. We were a bit surprised, but maybe we shouldn’t have been. It’s was an odd year for music all around. There really wasn’t a song of the summer.  Elle King was all over the place. “Bad Blood” was bloody inescapable and the year said goodbye with “Hello” and one of the biggest albums of history and a slurry of awful covers.

X96 really isn’t in that business, though. We saw Scott Weiland disappear, Eagles of Death Metal live through a horrible tragedy and 311 played the Big Ass Show for the first time. Hell of a year and once again we don’t exist without you, so thanks for supporting the station and the music.

Here are what X96 listeners, and only X96 listeners, named the 10 best songs of 2015:

10. Fall Out Boy “Centuries”

9. Halsey “New Americana”

8. Bleachers “Roller Coaster”

7. Panic! at the Disco “Hallelujah”

6. Walk the Moon “Shut Up and Dance”

5. Foo Fighters “Something From Nothing”

4. Hozier “Take Me to Church”

3. twenty-one pilots “Tear in My Heart”

2. George Ezra “Budapest”

1. Andrew McMahon In the Wilderness “Cecelia and the Satellite”

And that’s it. That what you think, so until next year…
