The Eagles Of Death Metal were a relatively unknown band from California until last month when they were on  stage in Paris.

They instantly became world famous in what has to be one of the worst ways possible when terrorists attacked the concert venue killing over 80 people in attendance, and over 100 people city wide.  Obviously not the way you want to find yourself in the spotlight, but I would imagine it would be extremely difficult to ever go on stage again. Let alone in the same city.  But that’s exactly what they did last night, when U2 brought them out to perform some songs for a sold out crowd

This was the first time Eagles of Death Metal have performed since the bloodshed.  Bono told the crowd the band was, quote “robbed of their stage three weeks ago, and we would like to offer them ours tonight.”  Any way you look at that, its REALLY gosh damned cool..
