Marvel Confirms Teenage Peter Parker/Spider Man
It’s been rumored for a couple of months that the next onscreen iteration of Spider-Man will be a teenage version of Peter Parker. That rumor is now confirmed to be 100% true. During an interview with Collider, Marvel President Kevin Feige said that they are looking to cast someone around the age of 15-16 years old and explained that he wants to take advantage of Parker’s high school life to tell some Spider-Man stories that haven’t been told on the big screen yet. According to Entertainment Weekly, 12 Years A Slave and American Crime producer/writer John Ridley is working with ABC to develop some kind of mysterious new Marvel TV show. All we know is that it “involves reinventing an existing Marvel superhero character or property” which, basically, doesn’t mean anything. Is it existing in the sense that it already exists as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, or is it existing in the sense that it exists in the comics? If it’s the former, it could be a spinoff of one of ABC’s Marvel shows—something that we already know is in the works.

Korean director Park Chan-wook (“Stoker”) will release a new Blu-ray edition of the digitally remastered version of his 2003 cult film, “Oldboy.” The digitally remastered “Oldboy” was re-released last year to celebrate its 10th anniversary, the Blu-ray will be released in March. The new Blu-ray edition, to be produced by Plain Archive, will include a documentary featuring interviews with actors Choi Min-sik, Yoo Ji-tae and Yoo Yeon-seok who is enjoying a surge in popularity in Korea.
