Mexican soap opera actress Lorena Rojas dies at 44
Popular Mexican soap opera and movie actress Lorena Rojas has died of cancer at age 44. Latin World Entertainment talent agency said in a statement that Rojas died Monday in Miami surrounded by loved ones. She had battled cancer since 2008. The Mexico City-born actress began her career in the 1990s with “Alcanzar una Estrella.” She later had roles in “Azul Tequila,” ”El Cuerpo del Deseo” and “Pecados Ajenos.” Her most recent project was the series “Demente Criminal.”

Wal-Mart driver appeals in bid to delay Morgan crash suit
A Wal-Mart driver involved in a crash that killed a comic and severely injured actor-comedian Tracy Morgan and several others has asked a federal judge to reconsider her decision not to delay Morgan’s lawsuit against the company. Kevin Roper is not a defendant in Morgan’s federal lawsuit against the Bentonville, Arkansas-based company but wants to intervene to delay it from moving forward until his criminal case is resolved. He filed his appeal Monday.

Rosie O’Donnell’s departure from “The View” derailed negotiations for Whoopi Goldberg to star in an ABC prime-time series, sources tell Page Six. Insiders say Goldberg was set to leave the daytime show to star in “Delores and Jermaine” — but due to O’Donnell’s exit, ABC execs blocked Goldberg from withdrawing as moderator of “The View.”

A MTA bus caught the entire Bruce Jenner car crash on video and sources tell TMZ it squarely shows Bruce struck both cars, and the Lexus driver NEVER made contact with the Prius. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … they are in possession of the video. Sources familiar with the bus in question — which was directly behind the Hummer — tell TMZ there are cameras mounted on the front, back and sides, and the videos show the entire accident.
