There are more and more places to see live music in Salt Lake every year. Here’s a refresher on some you may not be as familiar with, but you should be.
Murray Theater
Where: 4961 S State Murray
Capacity: 800
Murray Theater constantly holds a lineup of hard rock and metal groups. The perfect all-ages venue for you metalheads. Wanna see that one band you loved from Warped Tour again? They’ll probably be making a stop at Murray Theater. Built in 1938 amd updated with a vintage theater-style interior, Murray Theater has hosted bands in the vein of Circa Survive, August Burns Red, and Royal Blood. Urban Lounge
Where: 241 S 500 E
Looking to see the newest bands in underground hip-hop or indie but you also want to relax with a beer in your hand? Urban Lounge will take care of you. This 21+ venue hosts all your favorite bands before they become “mainstream.” This is a good place to see shows that you can brag to your friends about for years to come. This intimate venue includes a 22-foot wide stage that a little over 2 feet high, various booths and other seated areas, and a back porch area for you and your friends to hang out away from the noise in between sets. The Urban Lounge has hosted plenty of the bands that you’ve seen at the Twilight shows and others. Their fall schedule is posted here.

Kilby Court
741 S 330 W
The longest running all-ages venue in Salt Lake. With the max capacity of approximately 200, this venue provides the perfect intimate setting for up-and-coming and local bands alike. You haven’t fully seen the Utah music scene until you’ve had the Kilby Court experience. Fall concert lineup is listed here.

Club 50 West
Where: 50 W Broadway
Salt Lake City’s newest premier venue. Club 50 West brings you intimate acoustic sets of touring bands, meet & greets, and shows you can see nowhere else. Velour
Where: 135 North University Ave Provo
Looking for more local music? The Velour Live Music Gallery specializes in showcasing the best of what Utah has to offer. This intimate ballroom-esque venue has been building and promoting locals since 2006. If you want more of a taste of what the local scene has to offer check out any of the incoming shows here.

The State Room
Where: 638 S State St
This premier 21+ venue is another great location to present wonderfully intimate shows with touring and local acts. Specs include a under 3-foot tall stage that is 40 feet wide and 20 feet deep.
