MARTIN FREEMAN JOINS MARVEL’S ‘CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR’

Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” has added another name to its growing cast with Martin Freeman, who will make his debut in the film.

“From his roles as Bilbo Baggins and Doctor Watson to Tim in ‘The Office,’ Martin’s range from the dramatic to the comedic has consistently impressed us,” said “Captain America: Civil War” Producer Kevin Feige. “We couldn’t be more honored or excited to have such a talented actor join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.”

Bryan Singer Reveals X-Men: Days of Future Past Rogue Cut Release Date

Today, Periscope featured a live-feed of director Bryan Singer direct from the set of X-Men: Apocalypse in Montreal, where he revealed a steel mill set that will feature early on in the story with Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto (Michael Fassbender). He also announced that 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment will release the Rogue Cut of X-Men: Days of Future Past on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD this July 14 with 17 minutes of previously-cut footage, including a subplot involving Anna Paquin’s Rogue!

Hulu picks up high-concept TV series based on 1990’s video game Myst

A TV series based on the hit 1990s mystery videogame Myst has been in development since last year, and now the project has finally found a home.

Deadline reports Hulu has picked up Myst with a script-to-series commitment, from a creative team comprised of Matt Tolmach (Amazing Spider-Man) and Evan Daugherty (Divergent). The series will reportedly blend fantasy and science fiction while exploring the original of the mysterious namesake island. Daugherty penned the pilot.

Will Poulter to Play the Evil Clown in ‘It’ Remake

New Line and “True Detective” director Cary Fukunaga have found their “It.” Sources tell Variety that Will Poulter (“We’re the Millers”) is in negotiations to play Pennywise, the evil monster who lured in children disguised as a clown, in the upcoming remake of Stephen King’s horror classic. Fukunaga will direct “It,” which will be split into two feature films.
