An Oregon science teacher who police say used a Tesla coil to burn the phrase “I love mom” into the arms of students has been charged with criminal mistreatment. Salem Police Lt. Steve Birr says 37-year-old Samuel Dufner was arrested Tuesday at South Salem High School. Birr says students used the coil in an exercise last Thursday. Dufner noted it could also be used to mark the skin and asked for volunteers. Dufner burned “I love mom” — with a heart to symbolize the word love — into their arms.

A real cool mom and dad are under arrest for allegedly convincing their teenage kids to clean their rooms by bribing them with weed and cocaine. Joey and Chad Mudd from Florida were arrested Monday after they allegedly admitted to police that they regularly used drugs in their parenting of their two teenage daughters, aged 13 and 15, as a bribe to get them to do “household chores and excel in school.” According to the police report, published by the Smoking Gun, Joey—the mother of the teens—waived her Miranda rights post-arrest and willingly admitted to smoking weed with the kids at least five times “as a bargaining tool.”
Boner Candidate #3: GIMME 8 MINUTES. THEY WON’T WANT TO HAVE ANY SEX WITH ME

It took weeks of harsh criticism, low ratings and one extremely damaging Buzzfeed article, but the reality series “8 Minutes” is officially gone from A&E’s schedule. The network confirmed that the “high stakes” show, which followed cop-turned-pastor Kevin Brown as he coerced sex workers and victims of sex trafficking to leave the trade for a better life, will not air its remaining three episodes. Each week, Brown would pose as a client in a hotel room. Once the sex worker arrived, a camera crew appeared (as did a victim’s advocate) and Brown tried to persuade the woman to escape her situation and promised to help. The “eight minutes” is the maximum amount of time a woman can decide to leave with Brown’s team before her safety is in jeopardy. The show pulled in few viewers. Then a disturbing story appeared Monday night on Buzzfeed, in which several women featured on the series alleged that after producers said they would provide professional help and privacy, the show didn’t deliver on either promise.
